    delicious dinner
    cozy room
    pricey breakfast

I had a lovely night in a cozy room with a delicious sea bass dinner that was honestly better than I expected for a small place. The garden area was perfect for relaxing with a book, and the evening stroll was a nice touch. Just a heads up, the breakfast options were a bit pricey for what you get, so maybe plan ahead! 😊

    charming atmosphere
    traditional character
    delicious dinner
    muddy car park
    limited dog amenities

The stay was quite pleasant, as the atmosphere was charming and welcoming. The cozy pub had a lot of traditional character, and the staff were friendly. I particularly enjoyed the sea bass dish for dinner, which was impressive for a small venue. The location was also ideal for exploring nearby attractions like Bronllys Castle and Talgarth Mill, making it a perfect spot for a quick getaway.

    spacious room
    clean bathroom
    convenient location
    dated ambiance

The Deluxe Double or Twin Room offers a spacious layout with clean linens and a tidy bathroom, which made for a decent stay. The hotel sits conveniently near a busy road, providing easy access to surrounding areas for exploring.

The hotel felt very dated, with an uncomfortable bed that didn't help with a good night's sleep. On top of that, the room had a musty smell and cobwebs that made the ambiance less than appealing, making it seem overpriced for the experience. Paying an extra £5 for a lackluster continental breakfast was frustrating, especially with sugary cereals that weren’t appropriate for a diabetic. I also felt the dog fee of £40 was excessive given the circumstances, especially considering the location’s limited space for walking dogs due to the narrow pavements.

    Solo traveler worth the trip

The welcome was warm, like finding the perfect batch of blue meth. They had hot chocolate in the room, which really hit the spot after a long day. And let me tell you, the burger I had for dinner was fantastic, juicy and packed with flavor.

It wasn’t the cheapest place, but honestly, it felt worth it.
